Neuromodulator Consultations at Aesthetics By SuGar in Balgowlah, Sydney, NSW

Neuromodulator Consultations

Consultation Required Prior to Treatment

Neuromodulator treatment involves the use of prescription-only medicines that can assist in temporarily relaxing selected facial muscles. These muscles may contribute to the appearance of fine lines or facial expressions over time. Treatment is always preceded by a consultation and assessment with a qualified health practitioner to determine suitability and develop an individualised approach.

Treatments are conducted by a registered nurse under the direction of a prescribing medical practitioner, as required by law. These are Schedule 4 prescription medicines, which can only be provided following a consultation with a qualified prescriber.

What to Expect During Your Appointment

  • A detailed consultation to assess your goals and determine whether treatment is appropriate for you.

  • Your skin will be cleansed, and specific points on the face may be marked.

  • Very fine needles are used to administer the product to targeted areas.

  • The actual procedure time is generally brief, following the prescribing process.

Treatment may involve minimal discomfort, and numbing techniques are available to support comfort. Each person’s experience may vary, and your practitioner will explain what to expect during the consultation

Aftercare & Considerations

  • Changes may begin to appear within 4 to 14 days, but the final result may take longer to be fully visible.

  • Temporary redness, mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness at the treatment site may occur.

  • You may be advised to avoid touching the area, lying down, strenuous activity, or direct sun exposure for a short period after treatment.

  • Sunscreen is recommended to protect the skin post-treatment.

Suitability & Frequency

The effects of neuromodulator treatments are temporary, generally lasting around 3–4 months. A repeat treatment may be discussed during follow-up appointments, based on your individual goals and treatment response.

Please note: neuromodulator treatments are not suitable for everyone, including those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or with certain medical conditions. A full medical history will be taken during your consultation.

Treatment Areas

Consultations may cover a range of treatment areas, including the upper face, lower face, or other medically indicated concerns, depending on individual needs

Pricing

As per TGA regulations, prices for Schedule 4 prescription medications cannot be publicly advertised. A personalised quote will be provided during your consultation based on the number of units recommended and your specific treatment plan.
